Deciding to follow in my father’s footsteps, I started working in Financial Services in 2015 for a regional Insurance Broker in their financial services division. Initially, I worked as a Group Risk Administrator, Sales Support role for an adviser and more recently moved into advising following a successful period sitting and taking the necessary qualifications. I qualified in 2015.
My focus as an adviser was in corporate pensions advising members of company pension schemes about their benefits. I now advise on all facets of financial advice from protection to pension transfers. I am currently studying for the AF8 exam (advising on safeguarded benefits), this will bring me one step closer to achieving chartered status which is my aim for the next five years.
Ideally, I am aiming to focus on estate planning and inheritance tax mitigation as I think it is the most interesting part of financial planning. I think the interest comes from it being one of the more complicated areas within the job.
In my spare time, I like travel and sports.
